About Spencer

I am a qualified, accredited Person-Centered Counsellor and EMDR Practitioner, offering face-to-face, online, and telephone counselling. I provide a warm, safe, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace.

My approach is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and respect — creating an environment where you can feel heard and understood. Each client is unique, so I adapt my approach to meet your individual needs, drawing on person-centred principles and trauma-informed practice.

Alongside traditional talking therapy, I offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) to help clients process trauma and difficult memories, supporting healing, growth, and a greater sense of wellbeing.

Areas I Work With

I am happy to work with you regarding any concerns you might be facing, including (but not limited to):

  • Anxiety and stress
  • Depression and low mood
  • Mood disorders
  • Relationship or family difficulties
  • Self-esteem and confidence
  • Trauma and emotional regulation
  • Grief and loss

My Approach

Making the decision to seek counselling can feel daunting, but rest assured — it’s not as scary as you may think. I offer a trusting, confidential space where you can speak freely, without fear or judgement.

As we work together, we’ll explore the challenges you’re facing and look at how you can move forward. Counselling helps you reconnect, understand, trust, and enhance yourself — supporting deep personal growth and lasting change.

Sessions are available in person, online, or via telephone, depending on what feels most comfortable for you.

What to Expect

Once you make contact, I can offer a brief call to answer any questions you may have. If you’d like to arrange an appointment, I’ll confirm all the details by text or email.

In our first session, you’ll have the opportunity to tell me your story — what’s been happening, how you’ve been feeling, and what has brought you to counselling. We’ll explore whether these experiences connect to past or childhood events, helping me understand your world and allowing us to begin building trust.

In future sessions, we’ll start to explore what’s underlying your emotions and experiences, breaking things down into manageable steps. Some clients prefer fortnightly sessions, while others choose weekly — whichever works best for you.

Please feel free to get in touch to start your journey. Counselling can be life-changing.

About Chelsea

I am a qualified and experienced Person-Centred Counsellor, working with children, young people (aged 4+), and adults. I provide a warm, safe, and supportive space where clients can explore their feelings and experiences through talking therapy and creative approaches.

My services include one-to-one counselling, creative therapies, educational workshops, and support groups. I frequently liaise with schools, agencies, and community services to ensure children and young people receive consistent and holistic support.

Experience and Background

I have extensive experience supporting clients through a wide range of emotional and mental health challenges, including:

  • Abuse
  • Depression and anxiety
  • Bereavement and loss
  • Eating disorders
  • Divorce and family breakdown
  • Self-harm and suicidal thoughts
  • Anger and emotional regulation
  • Isolation and relationship difficulties
  • Other social, emotional, and mental health issues

Previously, I worked as a Project Worker for The Dove Service, a bereavement and loss charity based in the Crewe and Nantwich area. This role deepened my understanding of grief and the many ways it can affect both children and adults.

In my private practice, I work with clients who self-refer or are referred through schools, professionals, or recommendations.

My Approach and Ethos

As a Person-Centred Counsellor, I believe in creating a trusting, non-judgemental environment where clients can be heard, understood, and accepted for who they are. My goal is to empower each individual to develop self-awareness, build resilience, and find their own path toward healing and growth.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work in line with their ethical framework for good practice. I also attend regular workshops and training to enhance my knowledge, ensuring my practice remains current and effective.

My ethos is simple: to make a genuine difference in people’s lives — offering compassion, understanding, and the opportunity for positive change.
